Review: Chasing Swells by A.L. Goulden

REVIEW

5 stars from Gabrielle Sally!

“Against the backdrop of surfing, this is a fun romance that blossoms slowly, building as the story unfolds. The small details like the charity work and various foundations as well as the different locales add dimension to the story. The various secondary characters help to bring out what’s great about both Dean and Azure and the finale, which takes place in my hometown, is all the more memorable leaving me with a large contented sigh. You don’t have to like sports or specifically surfing to enjoy this story. It’s a sweet romance with its happily ever after.”

Review: Over the Ivy Wall by Rosa Sophia

Review

5 stars by Gabrielle Sally!

Likes: The emotional pull that started at the very beginning and continued throughout the story was enthralling, frightening, frustrating, heart-breaking, uplifting…as Rosa Sophia takes you on an emotional roller coaster that won’t end until the very end.

What appeals to me with stories like Rosa Sophia’s is that anyone can persevere and succeed. Anyone can find love. Anyone can find their way from the darkness into the light.

OVER THE IVY WALL by Rosa Sophia is about finding love when you aren’t looking for it. It’s about realizing that strength comes from within. It’s about learning that the grass really can be greener on the other side of that ivy wall.

Review: The Draig’s Wife by Lisa Dawn Wadler

REVIEW

5 stars from Gabrielle Sally!

“This was a fabulous story! Now, I’ve read a fair number of time travel stories and so many left something to be desired. They were good but this one pushed all my buttons in just the right way. The story building was just grand. The way Cortland took Emma under his wing and how easily she shifted into her new role. I loved, loved, loved that she has a martial arts background and could hold her own with sword wielding raiders while protecting those she loves. The gradual unfolding of the relationship between Declan and Emma was lovely and fiery and everything in between…”

Review: Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of Einstein’s Daughter by Tim Symonds

REVIEW

5 stars from Gabrielle Sally!

“Tim Symonds has a magical knack to draw readers into the world he’s built through his sweeping analogies and glorious imagery… Purveyors of a good bit of detective work have nothing on Symonds. I loved everything about this story from the pacing to the richness of detail to the opening with Watson, which reminded me of so many other Sherlock Holmes stories that it was easy to fall under its spell…”

Review: Stormy Weather by Glen Ebisch

REVIEW

4 stars from Ashia!

The mystery in STORMY WEATHER was decently executed, and I knew the villain had to be someone unexpected, but i never guessed who it could be until it was near the end. I followed the twists and turns in the plot with bated breath and edge-of-your-seat anticipation…

The romance in this story was understated. This being categorized as a mystery, I think that’s okay. However, just to let romance readers who might be interested to know, I think there should be more scenes on the romantic development to make the romance more believable… Well worth the read!
