There’s another kind of hero emerging in recent years. They’re not as prevalent as the alpha, dominant hero types yet, but I have hope that we’ll see more of this new type because they’re more of the ordinary men that we can actually have the chance to meet. I mean, how many of us can meet a millionaire, or billionaire, for that matter? Or those sports athletes. But this one–he could be your brother, your best friend, your boss, your officemate, your schoolmate–someone perfectly meet-able and marriage-able. Well, except for the brother.
I’m talking about the geek hero.

I have to admit; there is something so sexy about the man who has lots up there, someone who can match you wit for wit or impress you with his vast stock knowledge about obscure stuff. Or scientific stuff. Or computer stuff. If he has body and the muscles, well, that’s a bonus.

Did I mention how much I love this book? The hero, undercover FBI agent Drew Kerrigan, is totally adorable in his geekiness and cluelessness around women. A stereotypical geek in that he doesn’t have much social skills, which he has to brush up on fast in order to get Cassie, the heroine, in his corner. Here’s my review on this book. (Amazon)
